Here we meet once again in another interesting topic of which quiet sure that you all will surely enjoy....
Yeah...and my main point of interest in this post is all about EMOTICONS!!!

Now.....how many of you have heard about emoticons...umm I am sure for some of you it might be foreign and well for some it might extremely common..... But for me it was fascinating when I first heard about it and thought that I will share my fascination with you all too... ;-)


Now.....what was that.... At the end of the last paragraph...yep you guessed it right.. It is an emoticon.

I am pretty much sure that all of you have heard of emojis.... Now emoticons are nothing but emojis types with the use of symbols on our keyboard...

The word emoticon is the short form of Emotion-Icon.

Here in the picture you see the difference between an emoji (the one the left) and an emoticon (the one on the right).

Let's see a few more emoticons and their similar emojis..

This was one emoticon that caught my eye... It is an emoticon that shows a shocked face. It uses a colon for the eyes, a hyphen for the nose and a zero for the gaping mouth.

  

I felt that this was one of the most creative emoticons.. It ‌ is a depiction of a tongue sticking out emoji .... It uses a colon for the eyes,a hyphen for the nose and a capital P for the mouth with a tongue sticking out.

Now let's know the difference between an emoticon and an emoji

The main difference is that an emoticon is a mixture of keyboard symbols to express emotions while an emoji is an actual image used to express emotions
