Crossbreeding

Hi all ....Neha here..
In my blog you can get to know a whole lot of facts from various topics...
Hope you all enjoy!!!

In this blog I have thrown some light on the Crossbreeding of animals.

Now what you see here is a LIGER  - A crossbreed of a male lion and a female tiger.
If you look closely you can see the features of both the animals.

Now let's know more about Crossbreeding...

What is Crossbreeding?
It is the mating of two animals within the same species but different breeds based on the number of chromosomes.

Here is another example....

Now what you see here is a crossbreed called Zenkey-
A crossbreed of a Donkey and a Zebra.
We can see that its legs are stripped like a Zebra while its ears and face closely resemble a Donkey

Can Crossbreed Animals reproduce?
Crossbreeds are sterile...that is they cannot reproduce.
They don't have variable sex cells and they cannot produce sperms or eggs.

Let's see more Crosbreeds of animals

This is a Geep.....from its name you can make it that it is a crossbreed of a sheep and a goat..

This is a Wolphin ....A Crossbreed of  a female bottlenose dolphin and a male false killer whale..it is a pretty rare crossbreed.

Crossbreeds not only take place in animals but in plants too.....
For Example:
This is a Pomato or a Topato plant....In this plant tomatoes grow on the top while potatoes grow underground...

That is all this time ...I hope it was interesting and entertaining 😊😊....please let me know your thoughts....
